How to keep toddler from putting hands in her mouth? - my toddler has warts on his genatils and his legs
My niece is 4 years is something special and started a bad habit, his hands in his mouth constantly. It has caused warts on the hands and face on Impetigo. We tell all, and no longer put their hands in their mouths and they are dirty. Do not much good though. Has anyone been through this? And how can we stop? Forwarding does not work. The therapy is to work with her, but wondered if anyone has an idea. Thank you.

Hello ... Please email me so that we can discuss further! Your niece sounds like my 5 and / or daughter, and the BIG is a symptom of Rett syndrome. Have you been tested? Please go to www.rettsyndrome.org for more information. My daughter is a perennial part brag (who succeeded his impedigo and staph infections) and stop, as it is, a mounting arm. To www.armbraces.com are relatively inexpensive. Keep your elbows to reach the right buttons as possible to the mouth.
Wow, all the thumbs down for believing something that tastes bad, in their hands. As I read this I thought the same thing. Why not, it's worth a try, and it seems that everything else has failed. Something must, as soon as possible because impetigo is to be taken very seriously, have clarified this, I'm sure you know that, though. Though really, is what I propose that something tastes bad, but not harmful, if I tried. Try vinegar, something in their hands, then dry with a towel, perfume is still there, but not wet. Hope this helps!
She has special needs that are not sure whether this is true ...
Young children their hands in their mouths as a way of experiencing the world. At the age of 4 should be off the stage and the anal stage (potty training, etc.), but with special needs, their development may be slower. If the treatment does not work, and try to control or hand washing is to further promote or instant hand sanitizer.
Probley your needs in conflict with most of the usual techniques for this behavior.
I suppose if all else fails, put in your hands what you do and how they do not take into his mouth. I avoid spicy sauce ... injured, probably his hands, skin problems when they put in the mouth. Is there any kind of food you hate? In other words, if all else fails. Maintain therapy. We do not want their hatred of their own hands ...
They make a product for the children to stop thumb-sucking, his so-called bad taste, but surely. Search in the pharmacy or Walmart. It is also likely to do so now, but just in case, try to get teething toys to her hands, so that we can give instead.
Ah! I read it because my son went through a phase of chewing-shirt! Get a Koosh ball or GLOP gliddy some things that Walmart sell. Filled Ask him to put his finger on a baking tray with salt or sand to do. Is the search for brain stimulation - the means of entry and reduces the need to stimulate the lips and fingers.
Do not punish your bad taste --
it is not "bad" is that is only mental stimulation with special needs can be difficult for them to balance the need to express or to find ways of their own.

put on clean gloves in his hand every day. and say that is the retention of the hand to mouth, they no longer use. but if your caught with his fingers in his mouth, go back glove.
1. What they sell special things in memory suck my finger on it. It is very hot. But it is harmless
2. It is the type of special gloves, which sell online for this kind of thing.
Write something that tastes bad on his hands, but make sure it does not hurt ... Lemon juice, perhaps?
Otherwise, I do not know, good luck.
They make a spray that you give your fingers a little child to be able to stop the sour taste of thumb sucking. Try it in your hands.
Thum liquid than (n "" Thum b)
I do not know whether this is good because you have special needs. You may wish to consult your pediatrician and ask what they recommend.
Guided tours and tastings to share a bad thing in their hands? Oh, I know not only a bad taste food. Not as harmful to your health if
If you are not his hands in his mouth, then keep your hands clean. Or cover them with duct tape, gloves, etc.
