My favorite places to camp are:
Scenic State Park, which is north of Grand Rapids .... This is the way to the north, but it's worth it. Beautiful place, beautiful lakes. You can hear the loons calling at night on the lake
Bearhead Lake State Park, north of Duluth .... rectus camping at the lake. A beautiful place.
Lake Itasca State Park .... near Bemidji ..... is the source of the Mississippi River ..... very nice place, but it may soon be too complicated.
And then there are many large parks along the north shore of Lake Superior.
